For easy wire stripping of the toughest wires i've used molten NaOH bath, used a camping stove and a corn can, melted the salt, added a teaspoon of table salt and dipped wires in it - takes only 30 seconds to get squeeky clean wires, ready for tinning.
Use protective clothing, goggles and a breathing mask though, be outside. The fumes are highly toxic and will start to burn and dissolve anything living it gets into contact with.
