hey all this is my ebike i just got given. Need tips on making her faster the cheapiest way possible. Where to buy parts in brisbane , Australia?
its got a 200 watt and 24volt batteries

Nice looking bike,
I don't think you can do much with a 24 volt 200w motor to make it go faster.
If you want to keep the same kind of setup, TNC Scooters --> http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/TNC-Scooters__W0QQ_sidZ132745856QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em14?_pgn=2 now have again those type of motors at 450 watts in 24 or 36 volts (should just bolt up fine)
You would have to change your controller (if you go with the 36v) e-crazyman --> http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/HuaQiang-North-Road__W0QQ_armrsZ1 would be the cheapest (that i know of) place for brushed controllers.

What type of batteries do you have there ?

nice bike.

does anyone know where you can buy just the frame of one of this style bike? (frame with space for battery)

without buying the entire bike.

Best bet is going to be finding a 24v e-bike that someone is trying to sell...preferably one with dead batteries, fried controller and locked up motor if all you want is the frame so you can get it cheap. You are in SF, so there should be lots of them on craigslist. You might check with HighTekBikes too. They are near you and Terry may have one laying around or know where you can get one.

Ok so i ride home from work today. get home and my new 6amp charger is there so i throw it on charge. 25 mins its all charged. Normally this took me approx 8 hours being not dead flat. so loving this charger,. Then i decided to wire this baby to 48v. Took it for a hoon down the street and i was kinda scared at first. Im a big fella and this 200watt bike at 48 volts is doing easy 55 to 60 kmph took it for a 5k ride with a 5 mins gap half way to pump up tyres.. Motor is loud gets very warm and i think my chain is stretching. but i fuking love this thing....

Should i maybe charge them slower @ 3 amps ??
As a rule, slower charging (and discharging) is less stressful for most battery chemistries... Slower chargers (rated as less As) are usually less expensive to buy and smaller/more portable... The smallest A chargers (or best engineered) can also be fan-less (silent.) Lots of reasons to go with the slowest charger you can "afford" time-wise.
Lock

It depends on what chemistry you are using.
So what chemistry are you using??
Seems like SLAs, 12v 12ah batteries.
25mins is real quick, especially for slas, heard their charge rate is something like 0.3c or something. you can charge faster but that reduces batt life considerably.
But wait, 4*12v 12ah you can config to 24v 24Ah, a 24v 6A charger can't charge a depleted SLA that fast, can it?? unless of course it was at like 80% state of charge and you just topped it off.

Always check for loose connections first! All plugs etc tight?

thats a great suggestion :)

I'll be watching craigslist.

plugs? pfft i cut all them off i use the old twisty method and tape. the hand controller has power but it doesnt go to the motor. The speed controller is in a box and cannot be seen touched all plugs on that are also zip tied on..

Should i buy the 500watt 48v speed controller.??

A loose connection can fry electronics in the controller fast. Twisting wires together is only a temporary fix for very low amp connections.

They're cheap motors... get two and run them in series. Search for ES member Kurt's dual setup... others have done dual too.

You'll need to check compatibility on the throttles.
