My own 20kw hydro generator?

The Mrs. has been looking at houses where we used to live before moving the west coast. She found a house on a mill pond that has it's own 20kw hydro generator!

Wow, just imagine the possibilities!

Hell, just a place with water you don't pipe in would be a wet dream to this desert dog. Running water on the land is priceless. With your own power and free water, a greenhouse is in order.

The property does have a green house. There is a possibility I'll be moving back to that area. I'm going to check it out if I do.

The only issue is at 20kw it's more than you would use but the utility will only credit back to zero out your bill, or if you sign up as a generating source, you only get around $0.03-0.04 per kwh.

You gotta love an area where you can get 2,600 square feet, 2 houses, 3 acres, a green house, a work shop, and a hydro generator for less than $100,000!

It's next to Flint, MI. So maybe it was someone who worked in the auto industry's welding power supply, lol.
Your house could be a charging station for EVs maybe.. level 2/3 comin' out the garage...

Michigan is cheap for a reason because the auto industry is on life support compared to where it was before the financial meltdown. This is still a environmentally minded survivalist / hobby farmer's wet dream.
