I'm currently running a 48 volt thousand watt rear hub motor on my giant iguana mountain bike, I'm using 4 led batteries currently, and I'm in the middle of filtering through laptop batteries my question is what would be a good power supply to help me speed up the process of charging multiple batteries I purchased 18 650 holders to wire them in parallel is there any cheap circuitry I could find on eBay or elsewhere to attach so that I could set a voltage cutoff and what would one recommend for a ( power supply) that I could use to charge single 18650's and eventually a 48 volt lithium battery when it's complete if this makes things complicated then a 24 volt power supply would be fine as I could break the 48 volt pack into two sections for charging in the meantime

I work 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and have a little daughter so I haven't much time to scan all the forms so I figured I'd ask here I just want to find an affordable power supply that's flexible and consume the needs of a DIY lithium pack builder I have no problems buying a voltage meter in battery holders that's all cheap stuff just want something affordable and solid that I can adjust amps and voltage or at least the voltage as low as 3 volts

Sorry for the poor grammar thanks in advance

By the way I currently have a IMAX b6 version 2 and filtering laptop batteries is a bit of a long process right now this is why I'd like to get my hands on a good affordable power supply and when I said the thing about circuitry that'll let me know when it's at a set voltage I'm aware of that hardware, I meant to say is there a circuitry I could purchase that will read the capacity of the batteries as they charge individually from a power supply when wired in parallel

Ok what about a power supply something that's fairly affordable an can charge single cells (3.6v/3.7v) An can be adjusted up to 24v??? :(

Gophert? or an adjustable lab power supply (i.e. one with current limiting) is very handy for odd charge voltages.

Have you figured out how to get the IMAX to charge 6S 18650's in their holders? You just need a 7 pin JST-XH plug. And be super careful about correct polarity when inserting the cells!

Thanks for the reply, an I haven't gotten the holders yet but soon I will an I ordered 10 6s cables for my imax just gotta get the holders in to hook them up. Thanks for the power supply recommendation somthing cheaper then that lol I may consider it just would have to wait till after Christmas if I got that thanks tho

If you have any tips for any good little setups for filtering laptop batteries for a lithium pack build I'm open for any tips or tricks of the trade things that might be helpful for me thanks again for the reply
