Yeah, it's not really a motor for the budget minded - or anybody, really. You can get an Astro for a lot less that'll get the job done. I absolutely didn't post about it to suggest anybody run out and buy one.
I'm not sure what the deal is on those outrunners. They appear identical to the same range of motors from Leomotion, I don't know if those are made in the US or Switzerland... or either. I've been using Neu inrunners for years (and still have a bunch of them laying around even though I dont fly any longer) while the masses used less expensive outrunners, so I'm used to the cost differential. I just never warmed up to the lower efficiency and sync issues guys were willing to put up with outrunners. But they are far and away the more popular choice, so what do I know.
Controllers, not a lot of choices, I have big Castle and Jeti - I doubt Neu would even entertain adding sensors and there's zero magnetic field outside the end of the can, they'd have to be stuffed inside there someplace.
