So I just got my kit put together today. When I'm using the pas it will be going along and all of the sudden it will lose like half of the power. I don't know if this is normal because it's consistent. It kind of feels like a speed limiter but it happens no matter what gear I'm in. The battery was fully charged. I also read that when you are using pas and press the throttle you are supposed to get a power boost but I'm not getting that.

Any help would be appreciated

It's most likely the 'Keep Current' parameter, in the controller settings, set too low.

What the controller does, is reduce the current to the motor, once the pedals are spinning. It's probably an economy thing, but it don't arf stifle the performance. I've read of controllers having the 'Keep Current' setting as low as 20%.

On a hill, whilst pedaling, the 'Keep Current' will drop the current to the percentage it is set at. This means that when you want extra oomph to tackle the hill, in actual fact it gives you less. A bit backwards in the way it should work, but Bafang have never been conventional :?

What you need is a programming cable to program the 'Keep Current' higher. I've set mine at 100%, and there's not a hill it cannot climb, but you can try just small increments at first, to see what suits you 8)
