Whats up everyone!

I been lurking around for a little now, but i think i have enough information to be able to answer question..lol

Im looking to build a Electric Longboard. Dont have any of the needed materials yet, as i need some advice on my set up idea.

Riding area is 80% flat 20% uphill. I weigh right around 150, my ideal range would be 10+miles, top speed doesnt need to be more than 25mph. I dont have too many concerns over the weight of the board, as im not going to be carrying it around much.
I would want just one motor

What would be an ideal set up for this?

*ps. I apologizes in advance for the general question. I just needed to get started somewhere.

Hi new guy,
I'd say single 63mm motor should be fine, maybe even 50mm one. Go with the lowest kv you can find, you can always change the gearing later and gearing low kv motors up for higher speeds is easier than gearing high kv motors down. Battery wise, go with 6s at least, 8s or higher on 63mm motor if you have the money for charger and bigger betteries. If you have the space (i.e. a long and wide board) you can go with huge lipos (like 16Ah multistars) or other cells which might be safer but requre custom welding and stuff.

Basically, get what is available to you and suits that rough theme and you should be fine. Don't be cheap and buy some extra cable, shrink tube and connectors (I have found the simple 5mm gold bullet connectors to be quite easy and EC5 for plu/unplug purposes), you will need them eventually. Oh and get a good soldering station and iron with a flat tip and enough power or you wont have fun at all (I am happy with my Aoyue int 936 but anything should work fine). Good luck :)

"Motor Pulley Size: 14T "

I just was this from Aliendrive. This would be perfect for me i think.

When alien says "Any motor that is not an Alien Power Systems motor may need a key way machining into the shaft to work with these kits." how strict is that, if at all?

Any thoughts to this battery?

How can i figure out what kind of range/speed i will get with a certain motor, and what motor would you recommend to fit the battery.

key way machining, is meaning along the motor output shaft, so you can secure the drive pulley onto the shaft. their motors have it already machined.. not hard for you to do yourself if required.
