Not a total newby..I do have a DIY hub-motored trike which I have used for a couple of years.
For my current project I have chosen to use a BBS02 to Nuvinci Hub setup on a Terra Tryke Rover.
Given that it is still too cold to work in my shed, I removed the trikes boom and brought it inside to install the drive.
After viewing a number of youtube install videos I mounted the drive , hooked up the electronics and attempted to test the drive using the throttle.
No joy.
The control panel comes on , I am able to select the PAS Mode, the brakes are wired correctly and the led comes on on the speed sensor. I have tested it with both the brakes connected and disconnected with the same result.
So these are my questions:
When using the throttle should the motor run even if there is no rotation being measured by the speed sensor?
Without dis-assembling the motor is there a way to measure continuity between the battery , throttle and motor?
Are there any schematics for these motor, controllers? ( I searched this site and didn't find any).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
