Not a total newby..I do have a DIY hub-motored trike which I have used for a couple of years.
For my current project I have chosen to use a BBS02 to Nuvinci Hub setup on a Terra Tryke Rover.
Given that it is still too cold to work in my shed, I removed the trikes boom and brought it inside to install the drive.
After viewing a number of youtube install videos I mounted the drive , hooked up the electronics and attempted to test the drive using the throttle.
No joy. :(
The control panel comes on , I am able to select the PAS Mode, the brakes are wired correctly and the led comes on on the speed sensor. I have tested it with both the brakes connected and disconnected with the same result.
So these are my questions:
When using the throttle should the motor run even if there is no rotation being measured by the speed sensor?
Without dis-assembling the motor is there a way to measure continuity between the battery , throttle and motor?
Are there any schematics for these motor, controllers? ( I searched this site and didn't find any).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

"When using the throttle should the motor run even if there is no rotation being measured by the speed sensor? "

Answer - yes. My throttle works PAS on or not, wheel moving or not.

Can't help you w/ the rest.

Disconnect you brake sensors for now. You don't need them to get it running and if they are there, they must be next to a magnet yo close the circuit. Jus disconnect for now will work without them.

Without dis-assembling the motor is there a way to measure continuity between the battery , throttle and motor? Not sure what you mean. Just have to unplug to measure....
Are there any schematics for these motor, controllers? ( I searched this site and didn't find any). No they are simple enough that if the battery and loom are good, 99% of the time it's the controller.

How far away is your vendor?
