Hi , ive been researching all the responses about the different types of lithium batteries & BMS safety . As im not fluent with technical data I have a basic idea of how it all works regarding battery volts / speed / and distance . I have just bought this online . Ive been wanting a 48v 12ah to power my 200w motor . It had a 36v flask type that was ok , though it didn't give me the distance and it lost 15% charge in 2 years & 20 charges .

What type of lithium battery would this be ? as it says "li ion only" . It wont go in the frame so im thinking of fixing it to the rear rack of the bicycle . Does this battery appear to have good specs ?

Looks to me like it certainly will be up to running your bike.

But a 2 amps charger will still be slow, 12 ah divided by 2 is 6 hours, and the end part of the charge is even slower than 2 amps.

As for capacity loss after 2 years, regardless of how many cycles, that's about normal. Storing it colder, and half charged can help with lifespan.

Hi dogman dan,,, "6 HOURS" that's slow ,,,they probably have lots of 2 amp chargers hanging around they cant unload ,,or is it a safer option ? I believe this battery will power it up somewhat . One more Q; The controller ive got is a 36V 16A , heres a pic . Will this be ok for this battery do you think ?
