Nova: Making Stuff: Making Stuff Cleaner

I watched that too. I was more excited that the Killacycle had a Cycle Analyst on it! :D

Also, David Pogue rides an 20" electric folding bike belonging to the Killacycle folks. It looks like it has a BMC/Ezee geared motor on the rear.

PBS has the series online for viewing. It's a very cool series of shows about materials science. Pogue is a bit of a goofball, but gets the point across.

My favorite for this episode was using chicken feathers to store massive amounts of hydrogen with zero pressure.

And crashes it in their garage??

He is a goofball, but you gotta envy a guy who can do documentaries following his curiosity wherever it goes! I seriously wonder if it's scripted or does he start with a simple question and follow his curiosity...

Hah! I forgot about that. I wonder if that controller was also from ebike.ca, they have a cruise control that automatically locks on after a few seconds of throttle. I did nearly the same thing on my first ride with one. It's a pretty unsafe "feature", especially without e-brake throttle disconnects...or prior knowledge.
