Old unknown Ebike - Restoration/Upgrade

Was that a brushed motor on the stock motor?

You should fix up the junk you hoard and sell it.

Stock motor was just a geared '200W' brushless, but with a drum brake on the side and and extra wide axle. I couldn't find a suitable replacement which is why I switched it out and jerry rigged the disc brake into place.

I do fix up/sell some stuff I have, but a bike like this can't really be sold easily as it's so customised and hacked together. Also most of the time, the amount of time I have to put into things to get them working again makes selling them less attractive as I would be paying myself next to nothing for the time invested.

I ended up making one final adjustment on this bike also. I managed to cram an extra 4S LiPo into the battery box so it now has 16S 6AH (355WH) which makes it quite zippy at the 1500W I've currently got the controller set to. I also put Ferrofluid and oil into the motor to keep it cool also so it shouldn't get too hot, but I will keep an eye on temps with a thermal sticker on the motor case. Anything above 55-60C is too hot.

Cheers
