is anybody there, who ever had data transferred to OZ890 BMS by parallel port (LPT)?
I found some hints to use O2Micro's software utility "Cowboy v.0.75" and "philips LPT to I²C converter" but it does not work.
There are some pulses at SCL and SDA lines, but the values at the PC screen are those from the sample file in the utility's folder.
The newer O2Micro software utility v.0.87 doesn't have the "parallel port" choice in the options menu, so I cannot use it.
After double ckecking my adapter's hardware, I was looking for another utility to drive the I²C over the parallel port.
I found this one, that is working:
So "Cowboy 0.75" seem to be the cause for not working over parallel port.
Or did anybody ever made this combo work?
Now I have access to the OZ890 data, but it is very uncomfortable...
