PAS only working when pedal backwards

We hooked up a PAS and the motor doesn’t kick on when we pedal forward, but it does when we pedal back. The controller/display has a setting, which I can switch the direction of the PAS. But when I put it in forward, it doesn’t do anything. Any thoughts?

You can fix this two ways: ?? I hope
Happened to me also, Change the sensor to the crank side if on the left side now, or the left to right. Or turn the sensor on the sensor bracket 180' that is the easy way if you can.

Flip over the PAS wheel so the sensor sees the other side. This will reverse the magnet polarity and so reverse the hall action.

will it still work with out the pas ? i have a kit coming and was thinking of leaving the pass off
