As cool(!) as the hairdryer idea is, my vote goes for using water heater elements. Cheap and easily available.
And when conducting tests you can use the waste heat from the elements to boil your beer worth. 2 birds with one stone.
You get your testing done, and you make your home brew beer with the heat from testing. No wasted wh's and a nice bottle of your own brew as a bonus
