Power analyzer reverse current regen question

I have this: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152942871574

Or one just like it. It does a decent job measuring power draw although the voltage is off by about 1.5v too high. Well since the positive and negative line goes through this....and my ebike controller has regen, does the analyzer prevent regen and reverse flow or does it just simply not report any reverse current. Not like it could show negative amps

It could show negative amps if they'd designed it to, like the Grin Cycle Analyst does. But none of the cheap generic ones I've see bother to do that, even though they easily could.

If you want to see regen amps without using a CA, you could wire a second one just like you already have in reverse parallel (EDIT: I mean series) with the first one.

As for preventing reverse flow: Do you feel the regen braking? If so, then nothing is preventing the flow. If you don't feel it, then take the PA out of the system and try again. If you feel it then, then the PA is blocking the reverse flow.

OK great! Oh yea...Definitely feel it brake pretty hard when I'm over 20mph so that's great news. Figured I'd ask since I wasn't positive because I couldn't visually see the amperage go back into the battery.
