Prepare for the Ultimate Gaslighting

An economist explains why we need to reopen the economy.
If you dig deep enough into anyone who wants to reopen the economy prematurely you find that the underlying reason is "I could lose money."

Red states have taken over as the chief location of new cases.

No. As projected from the start, those who started out with fewer cases are catching up. There is no "Takeover" involved.

How False Antifa Protest Rumors Spread

That article leaves out the false rumors that it wasn't REALLY Antifa that was CAUGHT doing it. When they try to pretend it wasn't reeaaaaally them.

Does that mean you have to dig past the part about they could lose the house, the kids could starve to death, all the REAL concerns of REAL people? We have to pass all that on the surface, beneath the surface, then focus on this one obscure part "I could lose money" and the REAL people don't matter?

No one is going to starve to death unless the parents cause it by refusing to accept free food, or unless neighbors don't check on and help housebound elderly and disabled people. Of course I can understand people on the Right thinking that, because they are so often too selfish to do anything for anyone else.

Literally I was drinking something as I read that sentence and spit some out laughing. You caught where the guy claimed he was so far right that he circled around behind and came out on the left. 'Neoliberal,' the saying goes. But actually he expects far more babying than you describe. He won't expect anything from a candidate HE votes for, but the other candidate is obligated to do EVERYTHING for him so he doesn't have to take care of himself.

Meanwhile, losing your house is often a stepping stone to losing your whole families' lives. . . .

^Yeah but you dont really need a 2400+ sq ft house for 2 adults and 2.52 children and a dog, 2 car garage that absolutely requires 2 leased new vehicles every 4 or 6 years, and dont forget that 50" LED TV with 100 channels every month and 12 pairs of shoes. Dont forget eating out cuz dont wanna do dishes, Skip the Dishes.

2.52 children - https://www.statista.com/statistics/183648/average-size-of-households-in-the-us/

https://www.newser.com/story/225645/average-size-of-us-homes-decade-by-decade.html
1920: 1,048 square feet
1930: 1,129
1940: 1,177
1950: 983
1960: 1,289
1970: 1,500
1980: 1,740
1990: 2,080
2000: 2,266
2010: 2,392
2014: 2,657

So a few blocks from me are those houses from the 1920's. Some are indeed 1000sqft., many have been added on to in the past century. Upstairs bedrooms are common. Many are downright mansions, magnificent. And have more than 2.52 children living with them. The house next door to me, 1750sqft and 3 regular bedrooms, has the parents and 3 adult children, two with spouses and kids. When they moved in the owner was asking $3,500/month, it takes a crowd like that to pay for it. My house has been added on, too. I've had multiple brothers/sisters/other relatives living with me, bringing their kids. But today I'm sure those people are jealous. And I'm sure they are counted as 3 households in that one house.

But if people don't spend money, we wind up where we are now. A lot of people not working.

This is an interesting story, interesting in the fact that what people type into social media and think there are no consequences to it.

Speedway owner loses staff, 'all but 2' sponsors after post

The owner of a North Carolina racetrack said he has faced death threats, lost employees and seen “all but two” of his sponsors evaporate amid the backlash over his social media post invoking the noose found in the garage stall of Black NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace

Mike Fulp, who owns the half-mile, dirt track 311 Speedway in Stokes County, told the

he knew his troubles from what he described as a joke were self-inflicted. Fulp's post advertised “Bubba Rope” for sale on Facebook Marketplace the day after an FBI investigation determined the noose found at the Talladega Superspeedway garage had been there since at least October and was a coincidence, not a hate crime.

“I’ve lost all but two of my sponsors,” Fulp told the newspaper.

Then if you go and read all the comments
Bald Eagle stated "I doubt he would be all apologetic if his staff did not quit and his sponsors walk away."

Lance "When will people ever learn? If you value your job, reputation and livelihood, stay off social media. Today's society has zero tolerance and even bad jokes will ruin your life."

People are now going after Jimmy Kimmel and his blackface skits from years yore.

Trudeau says he can't recall how many times he wore blackface makeup

Too bad we can't cancel Justin out of the PM's office.

Been on this forum for a couple of months and never saw this section of it. Wow, it poisons everything else. Probably some good technical info on the other forums, but I don't want to be a part of any of this. Adios.

And yet you were able to previously post in this section before you actually saw it. Would that be a full 10% 0f the time? Perhaps you forget which name you were logged in with. Multiname users who do the poisoning sometimes have that problem.

But do feel free to take any or all of these innocent trolls with you on your quest for that internet paradise where the clean snow is always falling and you'll never find a single post that disagrees with you.

Ryan Grim said it all: "We're BACK, baby." The arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell brings the Epstein story back to the front page. Coincidence? I think NOT!

Somewhere at the root of the Epstein stories is the truth. No matter how much bull has been piled on top, there's still plenty that DID happen for us to get wrapped up in, maybe even stories we haven't heard yet. Nothing in those eMails could compare to THIS.

Saagar Enjeti says all this info in the prosecutors hands' goes nowhere with Epstein's death, but now they get to put his Madame on trial and we get to hear it from HER point of view.'

So who hid her, or more important why is she suddenly caught? I remind you nobody hated Epstein more than our president, who decried the original plea deal and warned there would be more from him. Epstein with all the alleged blackmail material on so many Democrats, from the Clintons on down. Not going public until SOMEBODY is prosecuted over it. Who would want to keep this story current for the election and insure the last 3-4 months before the bid day people would be speculating big on what they may hear? (Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick.)

And Saagar is right, there BETTER be nonstop surveillance of the woman, or we'll miss all the fun if she hangs herself, too. Look at the smile on the face of the Fed conducting the press conference. SHE knows this is gonna be one hell of a ride.

Or just put the one poster here who is poisoning it on ignore. A little easier.
