Pretend gas was gone tomorrow -

No gas would mean no cars. Just imagine the EV grin! I'd have to fab a shotgun rack to the handlebars and park my bikes inside at night, but that bit of inconvenience would be well worth it. Before the food shortages set in I'd want to pack the family up and head to Brazil.

I'd build a gasifier for my lil pickup for my main transportation. Probably upgrade the push trailer with A123 and a 24v pure sine inverter. I'd go forward with the idea to make my folder into a take-apart tandem. I'd probably get a couple mini fridges, a decent inverter, some solar panels and some lead (bullets and batteries). I'd get a lifetime supply of CFLs too I think.

Well, we have 19 horses, so I guess it would not change a thing to the way I build my bikes if we had no gas. Some of the horses would go to harness, to replace the pickup truck when needed. I hardly burn any gas now anyway, the last time the pickup was fuled was about 3 weeks ago. Finally, my life would not change much if we had no gas, but my kids life would have to change alot. I'd have to build commuter E-bikes for them, to replace their cars.
