Problems with new battery - help or info apreciated

Good afternoon gentlemen,

This is my first post here ( but not a first time visit)

Recently purchased a new:
- 52v 20Ah (14s 6p, INR 18650, 35E ) triangle battery
and
- cycle satiator 48v

My problem- simply put- is:
When i start charging, it goes for a while on steady current,
and little oscilating voltage,
but as it reaches +/- 53v,
The current goes down from- say- 2A to 0.2A,
and also begins oscilating ( 0.6 ,0.4, 0.2, 0.1A loop ).
By reaching roughly 80%, it stays on 0.2A most of the time,
and shortly after, i get: 'Pwr fault restart' screen,
and after a reset, few seconds of charging (oscilating 0.2A)
i get another power fault

I m using default 52 v, lithium, 100%, 2A satiator profile.
Strt trickle- 29.4v
End trickle- 41,2v
Bulk A. - 2A
End charge- 0.2A

but because of those 'Pwr' i was never able to charge that battery to 100%,
it stops on 78- 80% and faults begin to follow.

Battery has smart bluetooth bms so i can see all 14 s cell groups.
Difference between highest and lowest group is:
39.81v --> 39.75v ( only one- the last is that low )
the rest is within 39.79--> 39.81.
so i gather:

- the pack is not highly unbalanced
- is only two weeks since i received it- new
- the pack came at roughly: 29% capacity
- i tried to charge it at various currents (2A, 3A, 4A, 7A )
Current and Voltage oscilates
and round 80% numerous Power fault - no more charging...

I contacted charger vendor - they said, a cause might be:
- over protective BMS
- cells badly out of ballance

I' m still waiting for a reply from the battery vendor
Which is alresdy a couple of days
- so,
i do not really know what verdict could possibly come from their side,

I've bought that new battery to extent a bit my radius range,
and bought a satiator to avoid the worries about burnt house
or cheep charger failure- when i need it most,
but it looks at the moment that, in spite of investing in new, bigger pack
and far more advanced charger i'm still loading my old 48v battery,
with my old cheep charger.

If any of the members have been in similar situation,
knows the possible cause,
the solution to my problem,
or have some sugestions,
please share it with me,
before i'll be forced to buy one of those other chargers,
to simply check whether or not- i'll manage to reach full capacity with that..

Ps: should i - in the above mentioned scenario,
even attempt to try to load battery
To 100% with another charger ( if i had one)

I am confused by your stated charge cycle settings.

What is your actual intended target Full voltage?

14S should be charged up to around 57-58V,

with a bit of Absorb / CV time if that last bit of range required, but it won't be much more maybe 1-2% if the C-rate is low.

That is the only reliable indicator of top SoC.

Where are you getting your 80% reading from?

Lower is better for longevity, but anywhere near 56V you could be leaving a lot of capacity unfilled, no way to accurately judge how much without controlled load test comparisons.

Assuming the Satiator is set correctly, I would disconnect the BMS for testing purposes, bulk charge with it bypassed, then hook it back up to monitor, maybe for some finish-charge balancing.

Where did the battery come from do you have a link

- The battery is out of the box, so i wanted to fully charge it and ballance.
My old ( first ) pack i got from luna, and in their knowledge base,
they say: new battery should first be " break in to" - six full charges (100%or so )
to let it fully balance

- 58.8v value is from the satiator profile,that came with the device,
and from the online simulator.
The same is been stated in the battery documentation

- /%/ readings are from bms app- the multimeter seems to confirm the bletooth readings.

-. That battery is new,
has a warranty on it
so, before i rip it open, i wanted first possibly get some light on
where to start with my brain, before i begin with a screwdriver.

- Battery vendor is a reputable seller and long time member
of the community,

Because i do not want to make bad publicity for the guys,
i sent you a PM / 999zip999/.
in our times, people are quick to judge,
and last thing i want: is to destroy somebody's
reputation, because of my lack of knowledge...

...and a good news for the last:
this morning i've received a replay for my e mail,
and i hope, we've started to work on resolvng the issue.
but one can never learn enough ( or to much ),
so, any comments or sugestions are really apreciated.

Always first contact the vendor for advise . Waiting reply from China or email is more frustrating then a phone call.

that is none but truth,
i`m not a hasty person- understand that there are always two sides of the story,
sometimes however, while one waits,not even willingly, there slowly begins to form
a little shadow of doubt, which, in turn,creates irritation (and agression )
and we do not want that in business, do we

Those are things on the settings tab (no user interactive)
somehow only, the upermost shot of the settings,is the last in the row,
so we look at them in reverse order ( 9, 8, 7....1 )

Good evening gentlemen,
It is me, one more time,
with the answer to the riddle- i have posted here to seek help.
The satiator and the battery are both healthy and happy together again.
...and the problem..
This is happening to most of us more often than not,
and for this very reason,
i do not pass judgment, until a true cause is fully discovered .

The cause of the abnormal loading times was..
( some of the community, must probably have quesed it
already by the beginning of my post)

..my lack of knowledge....

You see,
the profiles that i've put in to the satiator,
were all good and valid,
except for one thing:. "trickle start voltage"
which was set so low,
that- in fact- entire charging process was one, constant trickle charging,
and when satiator, finally was getting bored with the job,
It was producing a pwr fault,
to finally have a break from that useless use.

As i said before:
all is good and sound now,
and i've received so much support from EM3ev and from Grin,
that i still couldn't belive it,...
Splendid lesson- so to say,
I've learned some more about the things i use,
but also encountered a very positive feeling- that is becoming
extremely rare in human relations in today's world:
Empathy-
and ethical business .
