Hi,

I am going to use a Curtis 1253-8001 for my initial proof of concept installation. 80v, 600A, running a DC series wound forklift motor.

I understand how to wire the low voltage potentiometer leads (5v+=hi pot, 5v-=lo pot, wiper in the middle); I know how to wire the high voltage leads (M-, B+, B-, B+ to the motor as well).

HOWEVER

I am puzzled as to what to wire the interlock wire to (the 5v circuit or the 80 v circuit?) and what to wire the SS1 wire to (5v +?)

Will it work without the interlock and SS1, or must those be hooked up? I'd delete them, just to get it working, and figure it out later if need be. I just want the motor to turn!

Any guidance would be much appreciated, I'm kind of pulling out my hair, and at my age, it doesn't grow back so easily.

the KSI needs to see pack voltage , so a simple feed from the B+ will solve the issue// this turns on power, but logic might be j1-3 for example./ that also needs cap voltage

the interlack also needs pack voltage , although it can be turned off in programming if you're only using one of the SS inputs.. so lets say you choose ss4 , the other 3 can be turned off by default.. ALso , the potentiometer is 2 wire for 0-5k , not 3.
