Quick CA question

Hi all,

I calibrated my CA-DP by running a known current through the shunt and adjusting the shunt resistance in the CA setup menu until the CA was showing the correct current. However, the current was provided by 82V meanwells to which the CA was not hooked up. The CA was provided power from a seperate 20V power source. Will this give me incorrect current readings on the CA when it is actually hooked up to my 82V battery pack, or does it not matter that the CA receives power from a supply that is different from the reference current going through the shunt?

Thanks!
Mike

Once you calibrate it to a known shunt value, it doesn't matter what voltage the source is. The shunts resistance is independent of voltage.
