Quiet conversion kit using RC motors?

Ty,

It was an interesting endeavor, and it turned out a little oblong which is why I tried the golden eagle to find that it also didnt center well on my wheel...

I never had an issue centering the Golden Eagle Wheel Pulley; it fit perfectly, and doesn't budge a bit...though I've got "non-butted" (2mm) spokes, which is what I believe they recommended...I've heard these folks are great to work with, have you considered contacting them for any advice or suggestions?

For me it isn't the noise that I can hear that is the issue. It is the noise that the pedestrians can hear that concerns me....

Another is that I find it attracts some nasty comments if you whiz past pedestrians on some thing that sounds like a "swarm of angry wasps".

Hi,

It might be the "whizzing past" that bothers them more than the noise. I bet if you whizzed past at 4mph or 5 mph the noise wouldn't bother them.

I take your point Mitch, it was a bad choice of words. I always put the pedestrians first. I ring the bell to let them know I'm coming. If they refuse to move I politely ask to be let passed. If there are kids or dogs I slow down to crawl in case they run out in front of me. Can't get much more careful.
