Rear view mirror for ebike

--no screen I could find (locally, used, mind you) was bright enough to be seen in direct sunlight *and* in total darkness.

Yeah I tried this a few years ago using a near identical reversing camera and a 4" screen on the bars.
Cool in theory but as you say the sun makes for difficult viewing and also the viewing angle is quite limited on cheap ones. Even my samsung galaxy S4 which has one of the most brilliantly clear screens around is a struggle to see in bright sun light.

You could wear RC plane/copter style FPV glasses with forward and rear facing cameras but that just seems like a quicker way to die on the roads than using no mirror at all

Yeah I thought about using a gps street maps system with reversing camera attachment but the fact that the sun makes viewing near impossible even with a visor and when it rains... but I do believe the op is from germany so sun what sun, behind the smog somewhere

Here a video from today, You can see a little bit the display. Work fantastic even in sun. But i have to build something against the mud an water hiding the cam
