Just noticed a red button on the side of the thumb throttle from my Yescom kit- anyone kow what this is for? It stays depressed when pushed in - I am thinking cruise control maybe?

on/off switch for controller. In is off. Out is on. The yescomusa kit doesn't come with cruise control enabled. Controller should have it, but it depends on the controller make/model how to enable it

On the red button position, if in is off all it's doing is putting on the brakes or power cutoff. The power is still on and will contiue draining the battery.

If the button is in and there is power and out no p[ower then it is turning off the ignition wire so no power drain.

It's a simple on/off switch just like any other controller switch hooked to the red ignition wire of the controller. Pushed in the circuit is open and power to the controller circuit is off. But just like any other switch hooked up to a controller ignition wire, if you don't disconnect the main battery feed, it will slowly drain the battery over time.

It's probably not wired to anything. It's a simple low power latching on/off switch. There's a small black connector with yellow and black wires. You have the option of using it to switch on/off the controller, enable/disable cruise or speed limit, lights, horn, or whatever you decide to wire it to. The connector fits the PAS connector, but if you connect it there, it doesn't do anything
