Just picked up a couple of spare ebike , the one with the small wheels needs respoking and the battery on the bigger wheeled one is kaput , electrics are fine on both. What happens if I respoke the smaller wheel onto the bigger one, will it just draw more amps and fry the electronics? I assume naively that it would go faster given the bigger diameter for the same rpm. Won't be doing any hills purely for the flat.

Check out the http://ebikes.ca/simulator for similar motor/etc and try it out, see what happens.
