Reusing Old Downhill bike parts

Hey everyone,
I am sourcing bike parts for my ebike build and was thinking I could buy a used downhill bike and scavenge most of the parts off of it. What all will I be able to reuse without sacrificing quality or safety?

-brakes (mechanical disc)
-front fork
-handlebar
-headset
-rear suspension
-crankset
-derailleur

Mostly I want to know if I am able to remove an older Marzocchi Bomber Monster triple crown fork from a downhill frame and reuse it on a Vector frame with the same headset (The Pig DH Pro). Should be the same steer tube diameter (1 1/8") .

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Yes to all if the above. The only potential gotcha is the length of the steerer. Check the minimum length required on the vector against whatever donor you're looking at as from memory the vector has a long steerer and most will have been cut down in DH applications.

I would consider getting the suspension serviced first, ebikes are a lot heavier than DH bikes and will give suspension a hard time. I probably wouldn't re-use a headset either, they're not particularly expensive anyway.

I scavenge parts all the time. I agree with the others, though: unless it's a Chris King I view headsets as disposable. The fork should be a straight up transfer. Just make sure the steerer is long enough, as mentioned, and that the crown race matches the headset on the bike.

Thanks guys for your suggestions.

I will look for a new headset as per your input. The steerer tube of the vector seems to be at least 1/4" less than my donor bike so length should be good there. Also, the fork was serviced last year by the gentleman I bought the bike from.
