I'm considering upgrading my fork from a cheap zoom suspension fork to a rockshox recon for $125 just wondering if it's going to be a big difference in ride quality vs the crap forks im used to and is that a fair price? there's a used one for sale local to me. any thoughts?

You are gonna see a big difference, even if it is not in perfect working order it is still 10 times a Zoom.
A used fork often need servicing. Replacing oil, air seals and dust wipers is frequent maintenance on solo air forks.

This fork was made in many different configurations. The alu model with solo air spring is the best of them, light weight with very wide tuning range and smooth ride.
