Had some warmer weather so I got around to replacing the left swingarm that Ryvid sent. It all went well enough, just had a problem mounting the license mount. It's an arm that attaches to the swingarm through the drive belt cover. Had to enlarge some screw holes in the belt cover. The two plastic side covers did not survive the operation. I think the bike looks better without them.

Wow, I just looked at what an Outset cost now to what I paid last June. I paid a total shipped cost of $6,800 (with 2 accessories), that is now $9,200!

It's assembled in California, so I don't know if the price increase is due to tariffs on the imported parts, or what.

What does "assembled" mean in this case?

In some cases i've seen, it only means that they put the handlebars on after taking it out of the box, like when you get a bicycle shipped to you? :lol:

In others, it means that they put their brandname stickers on over the top of the ones it was shipped with.

In others, it means they actually built, tested, and QC'd the end product from parts made in various places. but that is exceedingly rare.


Sorry, my disbelief suspenders are old and worn out, so I am pretty skeptical.

US company. They build their folded stainless steel frame and attach the parts. I assume the cast aluminum swing arm assembly is their design, don't know the source.

Finally got the fenders on. Drives me crazy throwing all that water and muck at the battery. The rear was a mess too.



The fenders are for 6 inch tired fat bikes. On the front the bike fender is on top of a motorcycle front fender kit for inverted forks.

Carbon struts look nice. Is the fender glass reinforced nylon or more carbon? Overall it looks made for the bike, so excellent pairing. Less cleaning and more time for riding...

I sure hope so. The front wheel was throwing all the road stuff right to where you don't want it to go, like at the electric/electronic parts. It was a must do project in my opinion.
Fenders are straight plastic.

Wonder if they have a moderator if thats an automated approval process. I'm not on FB so *shrug*.

They look production level in their overall match of the bikes design. More important though, their functionality you discovered that helps preserve electrical componets. Seems silly the company wouldn't want to promote that. Do they offer any addon or aftermarket fenders? Maybe its a copyright issue or something...

No, Ryvid offers no true fenders on their bikes, though it wouldn't take all that much to produce them. The biggest issue would be removing the battery with the front fender in place. Also the charge port is in the front of the battery. I charged it today, so that works with the fender installed.
