My setup is Sabvoton 7245 with ukc1 display. I have some generic twist throttle that I was able to map out the 3 pin wiring and got it to work however I simply cannot get the PAS to work. I originally have a pas with a 3 color which is red, blue, and yellow. Blue is signal, red is 5v and yellow is ground and on Sabvoton side its brown as 5v, yellow is signal and black as ground. That did not work and after I tried every combination of those wiring with no luck. I then bought a new PAS that was supposed to work with KT controllers but that also doesn’t work. Is there a specific type of PAS for the Sabvoton?

I have been digging online and I find that my display doesn't have the drive mode option like others that I see online.

First two pictures are from my display and last picture that shows drive mode is what I see on other peoples display. Is this an issue with the display or controller?

Hi vwrado,

Did you buy the display and controller as a set? Displays are programmed to interact in specific ways with individual controllers.
The display pictured by others is installed on a Sabvoton?

Get your PAS working?

Yes I bought the controller and display as a package but I bought it from AliExpress.

So far I have no settings in my display for pas settings other than assist level. I always thought there should be a setting to set as either throttle, pas, or both but those settings are missing. Could it be that I got the wrong display that is made for a scooter and not a bike? I see there are two different kind of sabvoton. One is svmc and the other is svmc-m that have pas. I have the correct svmc-m and it does have a labeled pas connection.

Take a closer look at…
Assist poles.
Throttle level and,
Clockwise start.

Reference manual that seems to have better than most descriptions, but still poor.

Does your pas sensor have a light indicator?
Your Pas ring have 6 magnets?
Have you tried cranking in reverse or flipping the disk? (Or change clockwise start… see above)

Sorry, I don’t have experience with the different models and their required displays.

But do have electrical troubleshooting chops if you need them on the PAS sensor.

I have two pas sensor one with 6 magnets and one with 12.

So now I have it set at assist poles 12, throttle N and clockward start N. (What I had in screen was a desperate attempt to try something that I havent tried)

My pas sensor does not have indicator lights and I have tried cranking both forward and reverse.

Is there any way to test the pas sensor with a multimeter?

Short version for general operation…

The PAS sensor works similarly as a BLDC motor’s hall sensors.(lots of testing info on these…)
5vdc and ground are provided by the controller to power the sensor.
A PAS electronic ”high” signal voltage typically between 3 and 5vdc is provided on the last wire.
When a magnet passes by the sensor, the signal is shorted to the ground wire causing its state to go “low”.
The controller reads this digital on/off/on ect. signal to verify that the crank is being turned and to enable selected power level to the motor.

Make sure the magnets that pass by the sensor are at the correct position and distance (3mm or less if possible.) from the sensor face.

Sometimes you have to reconfigure the colors for it to work. Did you try to I itiate it without the PAS?

I have reconfigured all 9 patterns for the color with no luck I assume by initiation means when I first started up the controller and display, by that yes I had the pas connected

Final update, the pas that have wiring color black, yellow, and brown works! I thought all pas sensors were more or less the same just maybe different wiring configuration but looks like I was wrong
