Scan Gauge E (Smaller Cheaper Scan gauge)

It's about time there were some alternative to the Scangauge. Only snag I can see is that these don't seem to offer the programming capability that the original has. My only reason for buying a Scangauge was to be able to do things like turn off some of the stupid alarms on my Prius (like the reverse beep and the passenger seat belt beep that activates if you put a bag on the seat). It was cheaper to buy a Scangauge than to get the dealer to re-programme the car..................

I bought the turbo gauge. My brother will probably buy the ultra gauge. We'll report back. The main reason why Im getting it Is i got a new used car and the fuel sender acts weird when the gas gets low in the tank so Im going to use the meter as a tank to empty MPG calculator. Instead of dropping the tank and replacing the sender. My brother needs it for the codes on his VW golf that throws an error code like every other week.

Depends what car you are running.

I have developed and sold over 100 of a special OBDII gauge for the Honda G1 Insight and HCH1 Civic hybrid which allows access to a huge range of parameters and features including changing the SOC and clearing IMA codes etc etc.

The list of supported items it can display at the moment for the G1 Insight is

It also has an I2C inteface and supports the melexis infra red sensors so you can remote mount a sensior if you wanted to monitor turbo or Cat temp or something.

So for the Honda models mentioned i would say mine is better ;)

I'm now working on extending the range to the rest of the IMA cars inc CRZ and Insight and Civic G2.

So I had used and solde the Turbo Gauge. It was a very good clone of the ScanGauge II. It was kind... how do i put it.....quirky. It had the same info but it wasnt exactly like it. But it did have English conversion but it seemed like they didnt do a complete conversion to US standards. Even though I had selected Imperial some of the values were still in metric but then again they werent. LPG instead of MPG. So it was kinda weird when i had to set it up cause it clearly said one thing but do i do the conversion or just put in the Imperial Values. Anways it was ok i give it like a 6 out of 10. I needed it to keep track of my fuel consumption because my fuel sender is giving bogus values and my gas hand is all over the place. I never could quite figure out how to reset it after a fill up to calibrate it . I can read instructions but again the whole imperial metric deal. So Im I bought the turbo gauge that should be alot better. I can customize what it shows. I believe it can show up to 6 or 8 different values at once. I also am using the gauge to clear engine codes. I get a rand p0107. Meaning its to lean. It will go away for like a week and pop back up randomly usually right after I crank the car up. I cant find any Vac Leaks Im going to probably have to swap the Map or O2. Sensor. Im rambling at this point.
