At a guess, pressure switches to detect if someone is actually standing or sitting on the scooter, so that if they're not it won't follow throttle commands? You could test that easily enough with a multimeter. 3 wires each?

I've not seen anything like that in the scooters I've had apart so far, but that was a very limited selection of types. They could be a number of things, but most of the ones I can think of would probably not be on a scooter.

The lighting would be neat to use on various bikes, replacing the incandescents with LEDs. Turn my cargo bikes into lightshows with all the little teardrop lights as side and/or "clearance" markers, and make them all blink with the turn signals, too. :)

The flat things are lipo batteries and single cells!

If the shipping to Oregon wouldn't be too bad, I could use a low-power (~250 watt) 24v controller. I already have the throttle and the rest of that junk, but the controller was missing off my little CL score :( I could also use a 24v charger as I gave my other one away with a scooter repair. I'll hold off on PMing you until the stuff is up in the for sale section.

Hi McDesign
I would be interested in the drum brakes, if you want to sell them.
Thanks

I wonder if they are the same size i need ...i would need more info.

I'm gonna' make a real thread with descriptions and great prices in the used category, but here are the bare pix of most of what I'm sellin', just to close out this thread -

Still got tons of stuff - anyone near Atlanta want to make a great deal for all of it? I need the space!

I wish! It's actually my much-modified '78 Mid-Engineering Kelmark (tube frame; 'glas body copied from an actual 246), with a Chevy V8 and a Corvair/Saginaw transaxle.

Forrest
Nice!! For a long time I thought about pulling the 455 out of my Corvair (in my sig) and install a big sbc so that I could use a set of "stock car" 180 headers from Shoenfeld. My problem is that it's been dead reliable for so long I haven't been able to put it in the que.
Thanks for showing it.

Do you have the THM425 trans? Is it flipped front-to-back? I'm designing a different (flipped) arrangement, using the trans but not the diff - a short driveshaft will go back to a radically offset Winters quick-change, supported on a conventional four-link and Watts link. This approach gets all the weight ahead of the axle, and it promises to be bulletproof and stable. Engine is a Caddy stroked to 565.

Forrest,
I'm using a '66 THM425 trans with the "switch pitch" system in the original Toronado configuration. That puts the engine dead center over the axle line, and 67% of the weight over the rear tires. That results in wheelies :D if you are not prudent with the throttle, and handling in a high speed turn to be "loose". When driven in a normal manner, it exhibits no unusual handling characteristics, although the torque is always evident.

Mike

The th425 is a pretty good trans, and can be updated with Aftermarket frictions and steels, which I've done. I also got a modified valve body plate. Should be good for your 630-50ft lbs of torque. When sourcing tranny parts, GMC Motorhome specialty venders have most any part you might need.
That big Caddy will make for a bunch of whoop A$$, but wont hold a candle to the eye candy of those ceramic coated Shoenfeld headers when you open the boot.
Again, nice car, and thanks for sharing.

Mike
