Hi all
I start my build officlly today.

My plan is to convert a Scott Gambler to electric drive and get rid of the pedals.
Motor will be mounted on the sving arm and transmission via go-cart sprocket 219 chain.

I have gathered some bits and pieces... So far I have bike (Gambler20),motor (Revolt120 hall) , controller ( also from revolt) , adapter for go-cart sprocket to six hole disc brake (thanks Drum).

Some pictures to start with :D

Regards
Crille

Will follow this for sure - looking forward to see RL feedback on the Revolt 120.

can you do some no load testing? the guys at revo did send some data, but it looked pretty bad - 7A at 72v no load, thats a lot of lost power doing nothing... yet one guy on YT i found says his runs around 200w at the same voltage... i'd love to use this motor (according to paper specs) but 500w no load kinda kills my buzz...

edit
whats the flux leakage like? how does it compare to the hobbyking motors (if you have any)?

Really interesting, I'll be following this build. Do you plan to fit the motor to the chain stay? I think a belt drive on the left side of the bike would be a great setup.

I'm working on my first build (BigHit+Cromotor), but I'm already planning my next one for which I'll probably use a Gambler :)

@Fastcrille
Have you started your build? Or done any testing yet?
Would love to hear how the motor and controller work together.

Make sure you update thread if you have started work, very few Rv 120 threads here on ES-forum.

Hi

I get my rear wheel finished, dual disk hub with adapter to gocart 219 sprocket, also throttle have arrived.
Not much time to build, my two small children is taking alot of time, but I plan to be finished with bike built before summer.
Batteries are also orderd... I decided to go for LIPO 6s 22000mah x3 25C in total 66volt.

Next step is to mount motor in final position...

Here are some pictures

quite a novel way of extending the swingarm... I'd be a bit worried about strength though if you dont weld/epoxy the cranks to the new swingarm section...

I'll take it its not going to have pedals too :p
though with the 120 i doubt you'll need them!!.

@Fastcrille can you tell more about the swing arm extension?
I imagine the motor bracket will also aid to securely anchor swing arm extension?

Hi

And finaly... Battery arrived 18S 22Ah

Its hard to see in the photo of the motor mount, but are the bearings welded to the frame? or is there a flange mount in there we cant see?

Nice work my friend ! 8) Where you will mount the batteries because it looks quite big !

hello

I have a 24 fets controller that has been provent bulletproof if you want.

Because people with eBike must hide from AK47 Bullets ? lol :)

gambler091.jpgHi

I made some testruns with the bike and Iam more than impressed with performance!

The Revolt 120 and controller 80A is great it works just like Alexey from Revolt promised.
I can really recommended this motor, it has strong starting torque and runs smooth!

I use cycle analyst v3 to control throttle signal and some more functions will be added in near future like temp sensor and power switch.

Will try to upload a video with some action... :D

more pics pls mate! looks like you've been having some fun heheh.
hows the controller holding up/what power are you running?
