Hi guys,
Please let me know your opinions on this mid motor build. I'm shooting for durability and performance so let me know if there are better options.
------------------------------------------------------
Bike: Hardtail Raleigh, using one of our used bikes. BB is JIS 68-73mm haven't measured the width yet.
Motor&Controller kit: (upgraded mount)Cyclone 3000w mid,
https://laebike.com/collections/diy-mid-drive-kits/products/edge-3000w-mid-drive-kit
Monitor: CAv3
Battery: 72v 50-70amp bms,
http://lunacycle.com/hot-new/72v-panasonic-pf-11-6ah-with-luna-charger/
Chain: 1/8" bmx,
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/us/en/kmc-z510-chain/rp-prod25434
Rear Cassette spacer:

Rear Single-speed, 17t(steel):
http://www.backcountry.com/surly-single-cog-steel?rr=t
Front Chainring: 44-32-24t, 3 speed chainring from a Specialized
------------------------------------------------------
So the bike currently has a 9sp cassette so I'm not sure if this spacer is right. Potentially the different spacers in the kit will let me line up an optimal chain-line. I picked out the 17t rear sprocket because I figure it would be speedy yet still substantially stronger than a 11t. Is that strong enough? I don't know. I'm thinking front derailleur would be a good way to go since just 3 gears would be great and I already have the parts left over from another bike's conversion to a BBSHD.
Are there any other ideas or options I should consider? Maybe a belt drive by Gates would be better?
Thanks,
Al
