I'm just beginner in building my own 48V DC Sensored BLDC motor controller. What considerations should I think when creating a motor controller. This is my first time to do it. I use the Microchip AN957 as reference. Also, please give some comments and suggestions about my circuit. My circuit only composes with a dspic that outputs PWM and goes through the driver circuit and then to the sensored motor. The output sensors is read by the dspic.

AN957 , figure 5, only shows block or trapezoidal drive, Is that what you want or are you wanting to do sine or SVM drive? You should say where you are located and your experience level even if you are a beginner.

I want a trapezoidal drive on my motor controller. I just copied the schematic shown in the bottom part of AN957. Also, i did not understand some parts of the schematic. I only understand the driver circuit part. I dont understand the IMOTOR and FAULTA ports. Also, my program does not read the output of the hall sensor in my simulation. So, i have a hard time understanding and debugging my circuit and program.

I'm not sure if the information will help, but you might want to read up on the other various DIY motor controller projects here on ES, including Lebowski's, and Arlo's thread about building one of those, and Zombiess' thread, as well as the various others around here. (most in this subforum, some in ebike technical, some elsewhere).
