Hi everyone,

We are Symbyote Technologies, an EV engineering and manufacturing company working on motor controllers, battery systems, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical systems for performance EV applications.

We had earlier posted in the Motor Controller Technology section to collect technical feedback on our 12FET controller platform. That thread was mainly for discussion, feedback, and validation from experienced users.

This post is specifically to announce the limited early-access availability of our controller lineup under the name: Shadow Sabre Motor Controllers

The first products available in this early-access batch are:
  • Shadow Sabre 12FET 108V
  • Shadow Sabre 48FET 144V
  • Shadow Sabre 12FET Dual Controller Kit for high-performance e-scooters
These controllers are intended for serious DIY EV builders working on applications such as:
  • High-performance e-scooters
  • E-bikes
  • Go-karts
  • Light electric motorcycles
  • Custom DIY EV platforms
  • Off-road and experimental builds
This is not a full-scale mass launch yet. We are opening a small early-access batch for builders who want to test the controllers in real-world applications and provide practical feedback.

Why we are posting here​

Endless Sphere has a strong community of technically capable EV builders. We are posting here because we want the product to be evaluated by users who understand motor control, thermal limits, firmware behavior, wiring quality, tuning, and real operating conditions.
The earlier thread was for technical feedback. This post is for availability, ordering, and support information.

Controller Platform​

The Shadow Sabre controllers are based on a VESC-compatible firmware platform, giving users flexibility for configuration and tuning.

Our focus is on:
  • Practical performance
  • Good thermal design
  • Compact packaging
  • Robust hardware layout
  • Field tuning support
  • Real-world validation
  • Firmware availability for customers
We have already tested the controller platform in off-road e-bike and scooter applications. With this early-access batch, we want to expand validation across different types of builds and collect structured feedback from real users.


Current Variants​

a. Shadow Sabre 12FET​

A compact high-power controller intended for performance e-bike, scooter, and lightweight EV applications.

b. Shadow Sabre 48FET​

A larger controller platform intended for higher-power builds where stronger current handling and thermal capacity are required

c. Shadow Sabre 12FET Dual Controller Kit

The Dual Controller Kit is intended for high-performance dual-motor e-scooter builds where matched controller behavior, clean integration, and coordinated tuning are important. This kit is aimed at builders who want a more complete controller solution for dual-motor setups rather than sourcing and configuring two separate controllers independently. We are also planning to offer compatible throttle and display options with the dual controller setup, depending on application requirements and user feedback.

Support and Firmware​

For Shadow Sabre customers, firmware will be available to download from our website.
We will also provide post-sales support for:
  • Initial setup
  • Firmware flashing guidance
  • Motor detection
  • VESC Tool configuration
  • Basic tuning support
  • Application-specific setup guidance
We understand that controller hardware is only one part of the system. Correct setup, tuning, wiring, and application matching are equally important

Early Access Purpose​


The purpose of this batch is to work with serious users who can help validate the controller in different real-world conditions.
We are especially interested in feedback related to:
  • Thermal performance
  • Current limits
  • Motor compatibility
  • Installation experience
  • Connector and layout preferences
  • Firmware behavior
  • Tuning experience
  • Application-specific improvements
