My experience on a old honda is you don´t feel comfartable with passenger footpegs like this.


But you notice how much the rear suspension travels. It might be ok for a short distance on a pretty even road.

Why not build her a cool bike? Maybe a Bmx if she likes it or a Dirtbike. A lightweight road bike?

Well, one good thing about a small girl friend is that it can't hurt much when she kicks your arse.
I say: Put a bitch pad on the fender
It is not comfortable but girls get to like it after all, as they deserve the pain not to ride their own bike.

That bike has some crazy suspension. Is that linkage stock? Is it yours?

Yep, one of mine. The Demo 8 is made to ride fast and hitting hard.

I carry the GF on occasionally, rolling my jacket to pad the rack.
At 90 Kmh she hooks her fingernails in your abs, and makes a funny little noise on each bump. :|

How about 'semi-sprung'? Sort of like a conventional luggage rack but pivot at the dropouts and where forward rack mount attaches to seat tube. That way it doesn't need much tire clearance and still has forward mount... not a great idea, but you like to design and build, so....

I tried it with a heavy duty rear rack and man, it is hard to balance!
It is much easier to put a pad on the top tube and have her sit there while riding.
