About a year ago, I bought a Sican Industries 48 v 1000w ebike conversion kit. IIRC, the manual was slim at best, but I've misplaced it. I've contacted the seller on ebay, and they have a .pdf of the manual, but due to ebay's "safety protocols" they can't send it to me attached to the response to my original email (on ebay). I have some pics of the wires, and have searched this board, but to no avail. I'll try to send the pics with this email. Any help would be appreciated'

What are you asking? Those wires and plugs look pretty generic, and if they're part of a plug and play kit there's probably not a wrong way to plug them in.

I thought so too. But when I hook everything up, there are plugs that don't have sockets. The display turns on, and the battery indicator turns on, but the wheel doesn't spin. Funny, a few weeks back, as I was attaching zip ties to the frame to secure the various wires, I plugged the battery in, and the wheel spun, just like I expected. I'm certain I'm missing something.

To make the motor go, you only need battery, display, throttle, motor phases, and motor Hall sensors plugged in. Check all the plugs to make sure the wires and terminals are in good order, with nothing backed out of the plug housing or bent out of position. If all those things are connected, then the motor failing to respond is most likely a mismatch of phases and/or Halls. Before you swap anything around, first make sure the display is set to some power level other than zero.

When u plugged in the battery did the wheel spin on its own if so the controller has a self learning plug usually these wires are white and need to be plugged together
