Been reserching pack construction in the RC forums and ran across this, though it was worth passing on.

Repair capability is not the only advantage offered by this system, Since the cells are placed 'end to end' (touch each other directly), resistance is lower than either soldered, or spot welded packs, resulting in more power reaching your motor, to do work!

1. Why not direct the power from cell to cell without going through "Spot Welds", "Steel Straps", or blobs of "Solder", none of which are great conductors of electricity?.
Answer: Because none of these are great conductors of electricity.
