What are these old 140x20x66 mm rectangular Lithium cells called? Can i still buy new ones?

What chemistry are they? Most cells are dead, best one is 6.6V but most are 0 or less than 1V.

GX-L036010H4C is the name. Is it LIFEPO4 or LIPO?

Is it possible to replace with 18650 cells?

BMS by ri-jn.com GS12XPAXK from 2010. 36V10Ah battery with 12 ancient cells.

Part of the name is "LFP" which may imply LiFePO4.

6.6v is EXTREMELY overcharged for any cell. If none of htem are even close to the range for the chemistry, then the entire set is unsafe junk, ready for recycling. :/

You could replace them with any cells you want that fit in there, and work with the existing BMS, but that assumes the BMS works, which you'll need to know before you spend money on anything else about the pack.

It's probably cheaper to replace the pack as a whole, unless you just want to repair it for the fun of it. :)

What's the history ? Last it was charged ? Don't charge if one cell is above 3.6v. Discharge any cell above 3.6v with a resistor or 12v bulb. As anything 3.6 volt is bad. Bring pack voltage down. Great new batteries now. What's it for ? Motor and controller make the decision for the battery you need to make it work.

So its a 36v, 10 Ahr pack
Are there 10 cells in the pack ?
If so, With a 43.8 volt (??) charge voltage they must be Lion .
They are exactly like some Psylion 10 Ahr Lion cells that i have....with the exception of slightly different terminals ?
....Dont bother finding replacements, they are rubbish !

Whatever they are, 6 years old is done.

12S at 43.8V charged is 3.65V per cell, certainly LiFePO4.

It's probably not worth much anymore.

This is MOST likely LIFEPO4 since 12 cells a 3.3V = 39,6V. If it had been 12 LiPo it had been 3.7x12 = 44,4V.

Also LFP seems to be an old name for LIFEPO4 so points to Hillhater, Gregory and amberwolf!

Thanks for all the answers! It would take 96 pcs A123 18650 cells to replace these at a price of about 350€ just for the cells...

so will replace the bms and charger and go with 40 samsung ICR.

as for the name of these old cells no one seems to know. "Aluminum case" or "prismatic battery" seems to be the name. Actually found them on aliexpress for a quite decent price:
