Guys. I know this is a long shot but my bike has been stolen along with my friends. They are the both self build fast ebikes. Having spent years building and rebuilding them and now they’ve been stolen. Mine is a mid motor and my friends is a dual motor. Was going to do some posts on them but work just gets in the way. I can post other information but just wanted to start some dialogue with everyone to see what’s best to do regarding sending pictures and giving out personal info. Can someone give advice if this happened to anyone else. We’re not one for boasting about the bikes so they haven’t got much online presence
Thanks for any help

Sorry to hear about that. I doubt anybody here will be of much help if you don't say where you are, or describe the bikes.

They were stolen from Hertford Uk
Any help would be much appreciated :thumb:

Gutted! After years of trial and error I finally had a well built bike that didn’t break every 5mins. And some asshole is having fun on them!

This the other one that’s gone

You have reported this to the authorities correct? In the land of 250w pedalecs those two should stand out I'd imagine. Of course they've probably already been parted by now, or shipped over to Albania. Hope you're able to recover them though.

Yes authorities have been notified but I just want them back. Not a lot of people could handle a bike like that. I’ve had nearly 60mph on it and will throw you off the back if you don’t lean forward

Natures way of saying you don't belong on this bike. Remembering stolen BMX bikes and knowing the kids that would steal them, we used to search nearby trails where they'd be on the bike and find them. Sometimes a GROUP of us found 1-2 other kids. If that's what they took these for there would be the place to look. I've never got back a stolen moped or electric scooter, but never had one so distinctive stolen, for all I knew that Currie that just rode past was mine.

Typical thing in the US is to post on the social media sites (pedelecs.k in your case), scour the sites where items are sold (craigslist as well as others here) and inform the local shops where the individuals may need to go for service.

What did you use to lock the bikes up, hopefully a half decent U-lock like a yellow NYC Kryptonite lock and not a cable lock or chain.
Not only that but what did you lock it to.

Yes. I’m looking on all the sites and asking around.
My bike wasn’t locked up it was in my workshop that was locked where they stole a couple of hand tools but I think it was someone with knowledge of the bikes. They stole the flight case with all the balance monitors and charges in it. We’re looking into the workers who who have been there in the past

Lessons learned hopefully m8. Chain them down even when behind locked doors. Even then there are no guarantees.

Hope you get them back.
