Hi guys,...

I'll also start a build thread soon for my next Cyclone build, a 2007 Intense M3 frame ...[/attachment]

Paul :D

damn man that intense looks sick. cant wait to see what you do to it... im looking at a old avanti d8 frame atm, planning on doing pretty much what you've done here. do you find the cyclone has any issues getting too hot? Im planning on using one of the larger turnagy motors for a bit more power handeling... assuming of coarse they ever come back in stock.
I couldnt see from the ... posts either, what controller were you using? just the standard cyclone one?

Do it! Older DH frames are a good basis for these chop jobs, i reckon they used thicker tubing years ago to what they use these days.

I tend to be quite hard on mine, especially offroad so yeah it does get quite hot after 5 or so kms of hard riding. I continually check the motor temp with my left calf muscle as i ride, when it gets too hot to keep my calf on it, i'll pull over in a nice spot and give it a 5minute rest then set off again. Sometimes i'll carefully pour some water out of my camelpack on it to help cool it a little quicker. The next frame will allow more airflow around the motor and also allow for the Cyclone heatsinks to be used to counter this problem a little.

Yep, just using the oem Cyclone controller. Its given me no trouble so far (touch wood) and never heats up so i'll keep using it unless it starts giving grief.
