Hi this is my first Post on this forum,

I want to get some input on my next project, I want to give my wife an electric bike for her 29th birthday.

So I took her out to try some different bike types, and the one she liked the most was the Specialized Vita Elite Carbon,
she liked the light weight, build and the design, it includes Hydraulic disc brakes so have good stopping power.

I already ordered the bbo2 750W and a 11,6Ah battery, + Hydraulic sensor cable kit.
Weight of this kit will be about 8 kg, and bike´s weight is about 9 so in total 17kg.

Do you guys belive this could be a good build, or will i run in to some issues`?
please give me some feedback.

Looks like it will be an easy build. I would just double check to see what BB width that FSA setup is. Also, it looks like that bike is only available in X-Large

Oh thanks for that, yes there will not be space around that bb, I talked to my bike dealer and he confirmed that, he gave me a deal for the alu frame version instead I gues that should have a lot smaller bb.

Also he would not give warrenty on the carbon frame if I where to mount
A kick stand, and that would be a show stopper due to the bike should be used as a comuter bike for wife

I will through in som pictures when I get the bike from the dealer and get tthe motor mounted

Please feel free to give your input if you have more that I might have over looked.

I'd get a hub motor at 2kg + 2kg battery so that kit weight 4kg max. A bit of non sense to buy a bike optimised for weight then double the mass with a kit.

If you put a bbs02 then a suspension bike is more adapted for comfort..

I currently have a City bike with a bbo1 that my wife is happy about, and its without suspension, and it have not given any issues with comfort.
top speed on straight road about 45km/h

I like that the install of the bbo2 doesn't change anything to the weels.
thats why i have not gone with the hub motor,

and battery wise I want to have enough range on it so that after a year it still have capacity to the commute needed.

just added a link to the bike i talk about getting now.

Now the bike have been running for over a Year and is still working like it should.
I had first added the throttle but since Removed it again since it was a bit to aggressive for my wife.

Without Resistance (Wheels liftet from the ground) Speed was at 90KPH :)
on the Straight road i managed to reach speed of 60 KPH.

my wife is normaly doing between 30-45.

I added a 10 LED headlight lamp to the battery circuit,
and weight ended around 20KG. in total including all.
