I researched electric bikes probably just under a year ago, and I came to the conclusion that buying something pre-assembled was the go for me, as modding standard downhill bikes with torque arms etceteria, is beyond what I'm willing to take on. The Stealth Fighter is the only off-the-shelf e-bike I'd consider. They look awesome, they're well design/packaged, and they're reasonably priced I believe. I do however have a few technical questions regarding the Stealth bikes, more specifically, the Fighter and Bomber (not interested in the pedal-less Hurricane).
First, I'm hoping someone can tell me the following for both the Fighter and Bomber:
Thanks in advance!
First, I'm hoping someone can tell me the following for both the Fighter and Bomber:
- What type of hub motor is in it, and does anyone know it's maximum rated voltage/amps (e.g. total safe wattage).
- Same question, but relating the speed controller. What's it's maximum power handling?
- Why does the Bomber weigh 20kg more than the fighter? Where does the extra 20kg come from?
- How wide is the frame along the top-tube? I want to know so I can simulate it's width on my current bike to see how much I'll have to change my riding style to avoid bashing my knees.
Thanks in advance!
