Steveo's Replica e-crazyman 133v Success!

I have a habit of checking Steveo and Doc's "last visited" dates on their profile pages - just to make sure they haven't electrocuted themselves (or, perhaps managed to hit 88MPH and wound up back in 1955...).

Good news - they're still with us :)

!!!

hows it going with 133v steveo? any probs or still going ok?

Hey

I haven't had any problems with the half dozen times i ran the controller before winter ..

Everything is a-ok except for that shutter that happens at about 10-15k .. after that its perfectly smooth ..

good news, its very interesting that antonio in italy had very similar shudder using the fdp fets but with an analog crystalyte controller

Is there an alternative fet to use thats good up to 150v? less resistance if possible..

i guess i don't see the logic of replacing the fets. not sure if brett's comment about 'similar shudder' really is a confirmation. is it possible that the current could be measured with an oscilloscope during the shuddering events? it may be that a zener for a voltage reference in the current limiting logic has been toasted at the 133V, or maybe the voltage regulator reference zeners. if the 4110's breakdown they would be toast afterwards, imo.

Hey

I dont believe anything is fried IMO; If the controller is run at 100v shutter goes away.
