Ok, I have been trying to make a bracket to carry an EGO 56v battery for my for longer than I want to admit, and I have failed utterly thus far. I have almost a dozen failures, ones that look right, but are off in some critical dimension, and thus don't fit. I have tried 2 different stl files, and varied the size based on the instructions, but no luck, when I get one dimension to fit, another is off. I have chargers that I can sacrifice, and I could alternatively buy a weed whacker and sacrifice it, but neither of those are really good options.
So, Instead of continuing to beat my head against this particular wall, I figured that I would ask here. Has anyone already created a 3d printable file for a EGO 56v battery, with provisions for the power connector and the factory style battery latch?
If not, I would like some help. My biggest hurdle at the moment seems to be when I open the .stl files that I have, either the file conversion or trying to modify them goes awry. I don't have the original files, just what I could download from thingiverse.
I have downloaded freecad, but other than screwing up some .stl files, I haven't done anything useful. Help?
