For what it's worth, I now have a working electric skateboard! This was a one-month build, as a limitation for myself, and I completed it beginning to end within that timeframe. A month after that, I've actually learned how to ride, and am now mostly successful at carving down the street at ~20 MPH. In other news, I ordered 200 30Q cells to start buildng my ebike pack, and secondarily, a pack for my second board in the works, a 2WD mountainboard. Maybe the cells will even show up in a month or two! In the meantime, the skateboard is stupid fun and I've put several hundred miles on it in the last month; I'll write up a build post about it soon. For now, here's a photo:
