Tesla battery packs

I here a new battery pack for the tesla model s is 30k. Assuming this is the 85kw pack, can anyone do the math to find out about how many individual 18650 cells that would be? I am curious how much more then the actual worth of each cell they are charging for a complete packs worth.

It looks like it is around 8650 cells and there are some other estimates. Assuming they're using Panasonic 18650 3.4Ah cells. Who knows :s

It's a 74P96S pack - so 7104 cells, at least in the older packs.

$30k works out to $4.22/cell, or $352/kWh. You can do better buying 18650s in bulk without having to dismantle a pack.
