Well that is just silly.. my car has more room than that. I have an armrest for my left arm, it doesnt go out the window.. and my right elbow does NOT take up more than half the center console armrest.

^^ hehe... Yah. All wrong. (I remember buses and subways were more crowded than that. In the daze B.E. - Before Electrics.)

Must be a last summer street view, but here's a patch and no bike lanes.

HA! Ya looked it up?!!! Gets waaaay worse that that (view of Dufferin Street north of Toronto). Try in the City of Toronto ("Greater Toronto Area") proper south of there, where last year voted "worst road in Toronto" by Canadian Auto. Assoc.!:

(... and if car drivers say it's "bad", yah have to imagine watts it's like on two wheels. )

(EDIT: "Bike Lane"? Watts that??? Must now consult ES Bible.)

My first thought? Those look flammable. lets test that.

My fatass on a regular mountain bike with country rock tires will maintain about 25mph. 20 is not plenty.

In part:
It is morning. You are slow-rolling off the exit ramp, nearing the end of the long-ass commute from your suburban enclave. You have seen the rise of the city grow larger and larger in your windshield as you crawled through sixteen miles of bumper-to-bumper traffic. You foolishly believed that, now that you are in the city, your hellish morning drive is coming to an end.

Just then! I emerge from nowhere to whirr past you at twenty-two frocking miles per hour, passing twelve carlengths to the stoplight that has kept you prisoner for three cycles of green-yellow-red. The second the light says go, I am GOING, flying, leaving your sensible, American, normal vehicle in my dust.

Odd stuff seen while riding on the road.
