When ebikers go wild...

Recently, on one local magazine (bills itself as 'Canada's national newspaper'. Think New York Times, The Times in London, UK, etc.) In its "Drive" section (not to be confused with its Cycling section, which it does not have anyway...), in its "EV facts" wrote "We answer the most common electric car questions".

First [C]omment online:
Writer Jessica fails to mention one important question! When our roads and parking lots, etc are clogged with battery-electric cars, will the billions in property damage, the millions of animals injured and killed EVery year (some human)be more "Eco-Friendly"?

Also. Will these "EVs" be any easier to pedal? (For warmth and for exercise, but also to help shave peak power outputs from the battery at startups and up hills, etc. Extend range per charge but also to extend the life of the battery before final recycling and replacement. Lowering the overall cost per kilometer to operate.)

Was this [C]ommenter JOKING???

In news "This crowdfunded electric car integrates solar panels for self-charging"

sion-solar-EV.jpg.662x0_q70_crop-scale.jpg

In part:
The Sion has seating for 6 (operator and five empty seats), a range of 150+ miles, 7.5 square meters of solar cells, an air filtration system that uses moss, and a price of less than $18,000.

(Funky video on Youtube:)

Promoters tout the fact their vehicle will hit, injure and kill (and jam roads, parking lots, etc) in a more "Eco-Friendly" way!

In newz, "Chevrolet Bolt aims to take electric cars mainstream"! (with interview of Chevrolet Bolt chief engineer Josh Tavel) According to Josh, roads and parking lots, etc jammed with this huge (large, heavy, too fast) vehicle will still do millions and billions of dollars in property damages, injure and kill millions of animals each year (but in an "Eco-Friendly" way!)

(Joshes comment was edited out for publication purposes.)

Josh pointed out their new vehicle can be driver with and operator plus three or more empty seats! With plenty of (empty) cargo space!

In newz:
Walmart is working on a self-driving shopping cart that customers would be able to hail like an Uber (Private:UBER) – possibly through a smartphone app. Not only has the retailer filed a patent for a cart that has a motor and video cameras, but it would be able to return itself from customers' cars to the store. The system may also help Walmart (NYSE:WMT) manage inventory by scanning store shelves to ensure products are there.

No word yet whether these carts will be powered by gasoline or diseasal engines...
