This is why ES gets a bad name in some peoples heads. I dont see it but I'm sure if I went out of my way to insult and hurt an individual with such heart felt hatred I would see the bad here too.

Ypedal is a good member and a moderator. I'm sure he is confident enough to never need my opinion on the matter.

If i had to take sides on the war between Ypedal and Reid I would chose Reid but not at the expense of any one else or myself. What we lose Reid and Ypedal?

Their quarrel is their own business and I was not going to make it worse. Add it up Mod versus Guru the outcome is inevitable.

I dont have much to do with Ypedal. I'm no fanboi thats for certain. The names is cool, he he Ypedal.

Yes. You get superstar status when you can make a humorous comment (not even directed towards him in anyway) that causes a member of lesser stability to spiral into hysterics, delete all his posts, and freak out publicly in a way that destroys the original posters thread, and perpetuates strong negative feelings and energy into the world.

It's a much more Zen way to handle a situation when posed with an innocent joke than simply enjoying the humor and moving onward. :shock: :mrgreen:

Overall, I hope you folks appreciate what a sane and level headed forum and group of folks this place happens to be.

On typical car racing forums (there are 1-2 good ones left thank God), someone will have a disagreement about an optimal gear ratio choice for an application, or suspension spring rates, or clutch material choice etc etc, and it will snowball into pages of posts that are mainly filled with paragraphs of obscenities, and pledges to rape the other persons mother, GF, daughter, whatever (except threats against another mans car, which is too powerful of a threat to make, even between mortal forum enemys.)

On the MMA forum, a disagreement will arrive regarding thumb position in a grip, or the way a forearm should be rotated during a blood choke, or some lame trivia about who was the first person to successfully use a gogoplata submission in a real MMA match etc etc. This almost always ends up in paragraphs of racial slurs (often conflicting and illogically applied), countless obscenities, and one guy will post up a screen shot of an airline ticket to the city of the person whom he has a disagreement with, pledging he is going to come break all his bones and make him watch as he burns is wifes face off on the oven (or similar nastiness).

It's always just immature chest thumping sort of school yard nonsense, and nothing ever seems to come from it, but it does ruin the potential for productive conversation in a thread, as has happened in this thread.

Be glad we have such a nice kind, reasonable group of folks here. This is as nice as a non-private forum gets.

Since this thread is already so derailed, I want to remind you guys that you must REPORT a post if you find it offensive. Complaining about how it is "left" on the forum while others are taken care of is shortsighted. We must see the post before it can be handled!

With a bit of research, you would have realized that Thorazine is classified as an anti-psychotic, and is generally prescribed to people with "schizophrenia, severe mania, bipolar disorder, or uncontrollable hiccups."

Thorazine has nothing to do with illicit recreational drug usage. Unfortunately, you made a rash assumption that I thought he was stoned. But you know what happens when you make an assumption....... You make an Ass out of You and Umption....!

However, I do have a friend who - in fact - does have a serious hiccup problem, and often takes thorazine when they get really bad. This friend also has a tendency to write rambling, nonsensical walls-of-text on internet forums - usually some sort of sophomoric, Philosophy-101 rubbish (I give him crap about it all the time - "Hey Joe - why are you here? Wait!? What do I mean by 'here,' and who are 'you' anyway......? Do 'you' even exist except in my own mind..?'' Ha, ha ha! Crazy Joe..... Gotta love him........ ) :D

So any-who, I (possibly incorrectly) thought that electricridefl also had a similar hiccup problem. Thus the suggestion that Thorazine may be a possible solution for his malady. However, if electricridefl does in fact have a severe, persistent hiccup problem - yet is adverse to treating it pharmaceutically - may I suggest the first method described in this medical forum:
