Thumb throttle has 3 wires and the controller has only 2 wires

I have a rad power red rover Elite. The previous owner had his throttle cable cut thus no plug and play. without a without a throttle. I bought a thumb throttle it has 3 wires (black red and blue) but the controller only gives 2 wires (black and red). How do I make the connection? Help with this quandary would be very much appreciated!

Most likely, you are looking at the wrong cable from the Rad controller. A throttle cable will have three wires. Still, you might peel back some of the insulation to see if there is a third wire in that cable.

I asked the gentleman that I bought it from, that's what he said. Although I can't find this scenario on any website or forum. So it was suspect. I'm going to rewire it to the plug. I feel like such a dumbass. This is my first ebike. I'll let you know how it goes.
